Here I am showing some pictures of animals that you may encounter out in the forests and nature or on a hike in Germany. Many images were shot in a wildlife park (http://www.bilsteintal.de/Wildpark.html); for some of the animals it is rather unlikely that you would observe them out in the nature (since they are very rare and shy, such as the lynx), but others we see quite frequently on our hiking tours (such as the fox or deer).  Note: for birds I have a dedicated separate page, which you can find here, some of the birds shown there are also native in Germany.
